Essential Recollection

Essential Recollection is the concise version of the story — a single-disc selection drawing on nearly twenty-five years of work, from Oxygène (1976) through to Métamorphoses (2000).

Fourteen tracks, pulled from Oxygène, Équinoxe, Magnetic Fields, The Concerts in China, Zoolook, Rendez-Vous, Chronologie and Métamorphoses. What distinguishes it from the many Jarre compilations that preceded it is the audio: everything was newly mastered from the original analogue tapes in 2014, so these are cleaner transfers of the source rather than copies of earlier digital editions.
