Oxygene & Beyond a sonic journey at ADE

Jean-Michel Jarre’s concert at AFAS Live in Amsterdam was a landmark event that brought together the pioneering spiritof electronic music and the vibrant energy of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE).

As the special guest of honour, Jean-Michel Jarre performed a special immersive concert entitled Oxygene & Beyond: A Sonic Journey Celebrating 30 Years of ADE. The performance celebrated two important anniversaries: threedecades of ADE and 50 years of Jarre’s ground-breaking album Oxygene. The sold-out show was a fitting tribute to anartist whose extraordinary vision has helped shape electronic music over half a century.

The concert brought together music from across Jarre’s career in an immersive performance featuring unique moments created especially for ADE. Joining Jean Michel Jarre on stage was famous Dutch DJ and record producer Armin van Buuren, performing their collaborative track Stardust, as well as British composer and multi-instrumentalist Adiescar Chase who performed The Time Machine.

Jarre’s wider ADE programme also included three exclusive panel discussions at ADE Pro, exploring the relationship between music, machines, creativity, AI and the technologies shaping the future.
